Mr. Ravi Gupta

Ravi Gupta is an innovation commercialization, Intellectual Property (IP), and entrepreneurial finance expert. As the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tambourine Innovation Ventures (TIV), he has played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a pioneering idea into a firm that serves the needs of technology commercialization community while generating meaningful social impacts. Ravi's expertise extends beyond his leadership at TIV. He has mentored numerous applicants to the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program among numerous agencies from various levels in their entrepreneurial journey from lab to market.

Ravi holds a master’s degree in Economic Policy from the University of Chicago, as well as an MBA in Finance with doctoral-level coursework in economics. He also possesses a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Prior to his current roles, Ravi worked in technology transfer office at the University of Illinois, and advised multilateral institutions such as the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on technology-based economic development initiatives.

Ravi is a board member of the United States Intellectual Property Alliance.
