Dr. Dennis Gilmore

Dr. Dennis Gilmore is a senior executive with more than four decades of experience advancing technology development and commercialization across aerospace, electronics, clean energy, biomedical, defense, transportation, and consumer industries. He has guided the creation and launch of over 200 new products and processes during his career with Fortune 250 companies, research institutions, and startup ventures.

Dennis’s leadership experience spans the global innovation ecosystem, including technology licensing, international joint ventures, and innovation-focused mergers and acquisitions. From 2015 to 2022, he served as Vice President of Discovery Science & Technology at RTI International, where he also directed technology advancement initiatives in Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, he served as Global Director of Aerospace Research & Technology at PPG Aerospace and had previously held senior roles at PPG Fiber Composites. He currently serves as COO of Structeryx, an advanced materials startup, and President of Crosslynk Research Consulting LLC, which provides commercialization guidance to entrepreneurs and executives.

His contributions to science and technology have been recognized with multiple honors, including the R&D 100 Award for Aerocron® and recognition as a finalist for Desothane® Solar Heat Management Coating. He is also a recipient of the NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Forever Duke Award. Beyond his corporate career, Dennis has contributed to academia and professional organizations as an NSF Review Panelist, mentor with the NSF I-Corps program, and Executive Advisor for the Department of Energy’s SBIR award recipients.
