From Idea to Investment: TIV and Delaware SBDC on Strategic Angel Investing

Tambourine Innovation Ventures (TIV), in collaboration with the Delaware Small Business Development Center (SBDC), hosted a high-level webinar on strategic angel investing, providing entrepreneurs and small business leaders with a rare opportunity to learn directly from global venture capital experts. The session equipped participants with the knowledge and strategies needed to secure early-stage financing in an increasingly competitive investment landscape.

Over the course of the webinar, the lecture mapped the complete investment journey, covering topics such as understanding who angel investors are and what motivates them, identifying and targeting the right investor networks, crafting compelling outreach and pitches, navigating due diligence with confidence, and building long-term, trust-based investor relationships. The training also addressed the most pressing concerns of entrepreneurs, from valuation to negotiation, offering practical frameworks to bridge the gap between founders and funders.

The content was enriched by real-world case studies and international best practices, showcasing lessons from Silicon Valley exits, global angel networks, and innovation financing programs supported by institutions such as the World Bank. Participants were not only introduced to the mechanics of angel investing but also immersed in the strategic mindset required to transform bold ideas into scalable ventures.

By partnering with Delaware SBDC, TIV delivered more than a lecture; it created a strategic deep dive into the art and science of angel investing, providing entrepreneurs with actionable insights, proven methodologies, and the confidence to pursue growth capital. The collaboration underscored TIV’s commitment to strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems worldwide and ensuring that founders are equipped to compete and thrive in today’s innovation-driven economy.
