Biography
Adam Falconer is an accomplished intellectual property consultant with more than two decades of experience in litigation consulting, IP licensing, technology commercialization, and research security. He began his career at Ernst & Young, advising clients in telecommunications and energy before transitioning to academic technology transfer, where he managed diverse IP portfolios at the University of Nebraska and the University of Illinois at Chicago. In these roles, he oversaw the protection of new technologies, executed licensing agreements, and built commercialization pathways that advanced innovation from lab to market.
In 2008, Mr. Falconer joined FAB Group, conducting damage analyses and financial recovery services, and later founded Royalty Sense LLC, a consultancy focused on IP valuation, monetization, and litigation support. He has authored expert reports in federal cases on more than sixty occasions and has served as both a deponent and trial witness on damages and valuation matters. His expertise is recognized by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Licensing Executives Society (LES), where he holds the designation of Certified Licensing Professional and serves on the Valuation and Pricing Committee.
Beyond consulting, Mr. Falconer has lectured on IP damages and patent policy at institutions including the University of San Francisco School of Law, the University of Kansas School of Law, and the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Pharmacy. He holds a Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Law, Technology, and Management (cum laude) from Syracuse University College of Law and a B.S. in Management Information Systems (highest honors) from Iowa State University.
