Biography
Dr. Anna Quider is an award-winning science policy leader and the CEO of The Quider Group, with over 15 years of experience spanning higher education, the US federal government, and the nonprofit sector. Named one of the “Top 100 Lobbyists” by the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics, she has shaped national research and innovation policy, including authoring key provisions of the CHIPS and Science Act for Emerging Research Institutions. She is a two-time Superior Honor Awardee of the US Department of State, a former President of the Board of Directors of The Science Coalition, and a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
A former professional astrophysicist and Principal Investigator on a Hubble Space Telescope project, Dr. Quider combines scientific rigor with policy acumen. She earned her Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar and NSF Graduate Research Fellow, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Physics & Astronomy and Religious Studies & the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Her career has bridged federal science policy, university leadership, and international engagement. She has served as an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow and led major initiatives at the US Department of State, where she advanced global science diplomacy and innovation strategies. Beyond government, she has advised higher-education associations, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations on federal engagement, program optimization, and stakeholder strategy.
