TIV is hired by Resonance to support implementation of USAID’s Development Innovation Ventures and Innovation Competition Initiatives’ Catalyst Project

Resonance (SSG Advisors) hired TIV to assist USAID’s Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) as part of their Innovation Competition Initiatives’ Catalyst Project. A key motivation for Resonance procuring TIV’s involvement under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) was sparked by TIV’s track record in cultivating innovation ecosystems, sustainable development in developing countries, in addition to TIV’s expertise with 4th Industrial Revolution technologies. These traits resonated with that of the USAID’s novel DIV project which “tests and scales creative solutions to any global development challenge, investing in breakthrough innovations driven by rigorous evidence.”

The five-work streams under the CATALYST project are:

  • Sourcing and due diligence, services of innovation and challenge fund applicants

  • Technical assistance and acceleration support to innovation and challenge program grantees; partner facilitation,

  • Communications and engagement, and program design support

  • Evidence, learning and impact measurement of grantee and program level progress

  •  Innovation knowledge sharing and capacity development

The ongoing consulting support is being done by TIV under a Blanket Purchase agreement as part of the Catalyst’s project 5-year plan pertain to the second workstream (Technical assistance and acceleration support to innovation and challenge program grantees; partner facilitation).
