In 2018, TIV was invited by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) as one of the keynote speakers on “Digital Transformation of Trade, Customs and Investment Institutions”
At this event in 2018, IADB brought together some of the greatest minds from Latin America and the Caribbean in innovation and regulatory policy to discuss Digital Transformation of Trade, Customs and Investment Institutions. Featuring top management from IBM, IADB, and Australian and US governments, the consortium investigated a spectrum of topics. The discussions ranged from blockchain and global trade, application of biometrics to border security, and how infrastructure must scale in accord with the growing advances in technology. In particular, TIV’s Vice President of Emerging Technologies and Intellectual Property, Dr. Mirjana Stankovic, was part of a panel dedicated to the role of investigating “The 4th Industrial Revolution and International Trade.” The session explored the ways in which technology enables new processes for the production, trade, logistics, marketing and even consumption of good and services. It also delved into the approach of government and current initiatives being taken to keep up with digital transformation.
