Communications and Outreach Advisor [Contract]

About the Role
The Communications and Outreach Advisor will be responsible for developing communications materials to support the implementation of the VAT.
This position is short-term, and the level of effort will be 40 days within a six-month period. The Communications and Outreach Advisor will report to the Private Sector Development Officer.
The Communications and Outreach Advisor will work with the CBEE-R team to conduct relevant communication and outreach activities and press relations, including:
Conceptualizing and creating communications materials (including public service announcements, YouTube videos and audio clips) to disseminate information on VAT implementation; and
Supporting the CBEE-R team as they represent the project at outreach opportunities and events.
Requirements
The candidate shall have the following experience and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree mass communication, journalism, public relations or relevant discipline;

Understanding of public relations concepts and how to craft and implement project-specific public communications approaches;

Demonstrated comfort with use and integration of new and emerging technologies into the communications roadmap, PR strategy and outreach;

Exceptional writing and editing skills;

Ability to handle multiple tasks, coordinate effectively with others, and meet time-driven deadlines;

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; and
-
Strong Dutch and English communications skills (written and verbal).
Deliverables:
Communications materials including YouTube videos, public service announcements and audio clips on the VAT.
About the Company
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded International Development Group LLC (IDG) a three-year, $8.6 million Caribbean Business Enabling Environment-Reform (CBEE-R) task order under the Public Financial Management II (PFM II) IDIQ. The objectives of CBEE-R will focus on improving the regulatory climate for resilient businesses, bolstering government capacity to implement business environment reforms, enhancing robust public-private dialogue, and improving the creation of a resilient private sector.
To support the USAID/ESC Regional Development Cooperation Strategy through CBEE-R, IDG chose TIV as a sub-contractor contributing to activities across the six result areas of two objectives.
