
Atul Wad
President and CEO
Atul has over thirty years of experience in sustainability, entrepreneurship, technology management, innovation, and business strategy. His career has spanned private sector, not-for-profits, academia, multilateral development banks (MDBs), international organizations such as UN, and the venture capital industry.
He has taught and extensively published on various disciplines including technology management, inclusive innovation, strategy and international business. He specializes in the different aspects of designing and implementing value added technology based ventures that build upon the competitive resources and that produce social and environmental returns in addition to private.
He has been involved in starting or building such ventures in various sectors, and has founded and grown numerous start-ups. His experience also includes advising early stage companies in technology strategy, management, marketing, and strategic alliance formation, raising financing at various stages in the growth of these companies.
Over his career, Dr. Wad has helped new ventures and academic institutes raise substantial funds from public and private sources.. Dr Wad has provided strategic advice to corporations and to governmental and international agencies in sustainability and technology areas, and led policy research on the issues involved in new business development in emerging markets. Dr. Wad has field experience in more than 25 countries.
Atul received his PhD and M.S. in Organizational Behavior and International Business at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Atul earned his Bachelor's of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
